Just wanted to be sure you got my check and to let you know I am really enjoying your book and how much I appreciate the inscription you wrote to me. You have put together a truly wonderful gathering of stories that take me beyond just the pages you have printed between the covers.
After reading chapter 4, “ The Gift of the Will”, it got me interested in the author Robert Sparks Walker. I got online and found a signed copy of “Torchlights to the Cherokees: The Brainerd Mission” 1931, 1st edition and look forward to reading it as well.
One thing I would also like to mention. I generally start reading books from the beginning, but in the case of your book, when I first got it out of the package and started thumbing through it, I paused at the picture with the Dogwood flowers and the three crosses in the background. As I started reading the first few sentences, it wasn’t long before I had read the whole story. Wonderfully written!
Anyway, thanks for putting together such a great book. Hope you get started on a second one.

Hey Jim. I certainly enjoyed reading your book. I also learned some things that were very interesting and entertaining. Bigfoot Spencer, Augustine Gattinger, Johnny Appleseed were all fascinating. Yes, very entertaining read!
